Dongshan River Ecoark is an environmental educational park located in Yilan. Also known as Dongshan River Forest Park, the park is one of the primary venues for not only Yilan Green Expo but also the International Children's Folklore & Folkgames Festival. With the 20-year efforts of planning and constructing, the park aims for promoting green tourism.
With an area of about 16 hectares, the park is an excellent habitat for migratory birds with wide-open grassland and native plants. Throughout the years, moorhens, white egrets, and black drongos have made the park their home. There are winding natural trails and bike trails along the park, offering visitors a relaxing place for cycling or having a walk. The nearby Luodong Night Market and Luodong Forestry Culture Garden are also highly recommended attractions to visit.
